According to the experts of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the ozone layer at the level of Europe will not recover its value of 1980 before the year 2049, just as in North America, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa, while it will be necessary to wait until at least 2065 to find an acceptable value over Antarctica.
The hole in the ozone layer protects the earth from the sun's rays, accelerates its formation over Antarctica; bad news for the earthlings. It has appeared earlier than in previous years and is growing and should reach the southern tip of South America.
For the first time, it was in 1956 that the reduction of this layer of protection was detected over Antarctica.
